About Me. Mark Eason
Welcome to my little bytes of the world, where precision engineering meets the artistry of woodworking. My journey in electronics began early, in the 6th grade, setting the stage for a fun career spanning decades. I dedicated 15 years to the challenging and innovative world of aerospace, followed by 24 years at iWatt (now Renesas Electronics), where I specialized as a Digital Engineer for mixed-signal ASICs, focusing on Design for Test (DFT).
While my professional life was rooted in high-tech, my hobbies for building stuff took a new turn in 2021 when I started exploring the intricate art of scroll sawing. What began as a personal hobby quickly evolved, leading me to create unique pieces, including the distinctive wooden cowboy hats you see on this site. I even shared my process in a "how-to" guide for the scroll saw community, featured on Scroll Saw Village: How to Scroll Saw a Cowboy Hat.
Beyond personal projects, I've leveraged my woodworking and other hobbies to foster a positive team attitude and encourage peer-to-peer achievement. Creating custom, handcrafted items serves as a unique way to recognize contributions and build camaraderie within professional environments. This website is a blend of my technical expertise and my dedication to hands-on creation and community engagement.
